Dear Rotarians, Spouses, Rotaracters, Interactors and Friends of Rotary,
Last year, Rotary International District 3310 was unable to hold its 29th District Conference due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. Due to the lockdowns and restrictions in gatherings, most of the District events were held virtually last year.
As the situation improved in the first quarter of 2021, we began to see more physical and hybrid events organised by the District and the Clubs and it certainly brought joy to many Rotarians as it meant we could once again enjoy the face to face fellowship which is not easy to replicate in a zoom meeting.
As we enter into May 2021, the situation has turned and both Singapore and Malaysia are implementing their respective restrictions to curtail the spread of the pandemic. As such, we have decided to hold the 30th District Conference virtually.
As much as possible, we want to replicate what used to be a physical conference over 3 days into a virtual conference held from 21st to 23rd May 2021. The highlights of conference will be DG Rajamohan Munisamy presenting his District Progress Report and the presentation of the Rotary International Awards to the deserving award winners.
I would like to this opportunity to say a Big Thank You to both DG Rajamohan Munisamy and DGN Joanne Kam for their guidance and the organising committee members for their hard work in organising the 30th District Conference despite all the challenges.
We look forward to your support and participation in the 30th DISCON!
